uTorrent????????
Q. I have had utorrent downloaded for over a week now and has been working fine. The past 2 days, there has been a yellow triangle at the bottom and says that there is no incoming connections and that there could be a problem with my network configuration. I checked with my internet provider and they detected no problem. I have a windows xp and I have a wireless connection. I am not sure what to do. it is only downloaded like 8.5 kb/sec which isn't normal. It was going much better before. I reset my modem and router but no change. The network configuration seems to be ok. Why is uTorrent doing this? I uninstalled it and the reinstalled it but no change. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

Your net should be twice as fast just besuase you are touching the keybaord, but seriously here is the idea. 1 delete all uneccesary files on your comp and free up as much space as you can. 2 make sure you are virus and malware free as these affect speed drastically 3 Make sure that your disk is defragmented regulatly. If your computer is still slow and all this has been done then you probably need to clean the registry and hard disk. Save all your pics and stuff to a CD then reformat reinstall your operating system. There are also many programs you can buy quite cheap that will clean up all these Issues nicely . How do i unblock utorrent with windows 7?

A. I use a router with uTorrent and I've had no problems, yours will not crash because it can handle up to 54 Mbs and you have a 24 Mbs connection, so you should be fine with that. Anyway open uTorrent and click options, preferences. Go to the connections tab and for global max download type 3000 and for upload, type 46. Then go to the BitTorrent tab and type 450 for both global max number of connections and maximum number of connected peers per torrent. Those settings will give you optimal speeds based on you internet connection.

A. utorrent asked me install again when I start/restart my computer?

Is defragging a folder with files that are still be downloaded from utorrent bad?
Q. I'm in the middle of downloading a whole bunch of files using utorrent. I was going to defrag my comp in the mean time; when I analyze it, one of the folders where the files I'm downloading are going into comes up. I was planning on seeding the files too. Is it bad to defrag the file? SHould I just wait until it is done downloading?

A. It should usually just be where you said you would save the torrent, but after it's finished downloading, right click the file and click " Open containing folder." From there a folder should pop up with your movie file inside and you can click the file and play it. P.S. Don't forget to seed your torrents when you are done. It helps others out ^^

A. It should usually just be where you said you would save the torrent, but after it's finished downloading, right click the file and click " Open containing folder." From there a folder should pop up with your movie file inside and you can click the file and play it. P.S. Don't forget to seed your torrents when you are done. It helps others out ^^

I was looking for an ip filter like one of the posters suggested and in my search I saw that . Utorrent. automatically takes care of this for me...is this correct? Should I not worry about it and just go ahead and click on "download this ...
