uTorrent????????
Q. I have had utorrent downloaded for over a week now and has been working fine. The past 2 days, there has been a yellow triangle at the bottom and says that there is no incoming connections and that there could be a problem with my network configuration. I checked with my internet provider and they detected no problem. I have a windows xp and I have a wireless connection. I am not sure what to do. it is only downloaded like 8.5 kb/sec which isn't normal. It was going much better before. I reset my modem and router but no change. The network configuration seems to be ok. Why is uTorrent doing this? I uninstalled it and the reinstalled it but no change. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

How to have utorrent finish a torrent download from Bittorrent?
Q. I'm switching over from using Bittorrent to utorrent, but I have a huge unfinished file to download that's halfway through. I don't wanna start it over, so I need to know how I can have utorrent finish it (w/o accidently reseting the download to 0%). So, what do I need to do to have utorrent finish my Bittorrent download?

A. Not entirely sure if you can as each torrent program saves the part files differently.

What the best settings for my utorrent using my current connections?
Q. My download speed is 24Mbps and my upload speed is 370Kbps. I heard that utorrent can crash your router. I have a linksys WRT54Gv6 router with the latest firmware. What's the maximum settings for utorrent that would'nt crash my router? Thanks a whole bunch to all in advance. Please explain in details or list the site as to how you came up with your answer please
Asked by Criss86 - Sun Apr 22 21:40:55 2007 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments
A. I use a router with uTorrent and I've had no problems, yours will not crash because it can handle up to 54 Mbs and you have a 24 Mbs connection, so you should be fine with that. Anyway open uTorrent and click options, preferences. Go to the connections tab and for global max download type 3000 and for upload, type 46. Then go to the BitTorrent tab and type 450 for both global max number of connections and maximum number of connected peers per torrent. Those settings will give you optimal speeds based on you internet connection.

How do you listen to music you downloaded on on utorrent?
Q. I alreay download the utorrent thingy you needed to download free music but now I dont know how to listen to it! Can anyone help me?
Asked by shadow_ann13 - Mon Oct 1 20:02:39 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. In the utorrent settings it should tell you where it is saving the music (It likely created a file folder somewhere on your C drive when you installed it) You need to go to that folder to open the music. The other thing is that you can change what folder it saves music to, and you could set it so that it is saving the music to your music folder.

A. I haven't used Utorrent Turbo Booster, but I can't imagine that it could be that helpful. Your download speeds are usually dependent on the quality of the torrent you are downloading (number of seeders and leechers) and the quality of your internet connection. If you want to tweak your internet speed the legitimate way, all you need is the freely available and trusted TCP Optimizer found here:

How come downloads with utorrent are slow but bitlord downloads are faster?
Q. When I had utorrent sometimes the download doesn't start and it says can't connect with tracker but bitlord starts the download right away.
Asked by thespidersense - Thu May 8 11:04:48 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would guess that you have Bitlord and uTorrent set to connect using different ports, and that the ports uTorrent is trying to use are blocked somewhere along the line, possible in a router Firewall. Try making sure you have the ports unblocked for uTorrent, there is guides on the website in sources.

How do I get my Utorrent to download movie files by changing my file association?
Q. I want to download .avi files from torrent sites and stuff but it always comes up in like .stv file and file that you cannot play and I don't mean the file you can extract with winrar. A. utorrent only plays torrent files The stuff/movies inside the torrent (what you downloaded) are opened with othr software. In your case .STV files are created using Sage Studio. Studio is currently in a private beta test phase and not available to the general public. No official release date has been set but if you do a quick search you can find much discussion, debate, rhetoric, and prognostication on the subject. ;) You might need to install the correct codecs on the other computer. try searching google for klite codec packs

How do I get videos from Utorrent onto my computer?
Q. I've downloaded a couple of movies on utorrent and they are completed. I am just wondering how to get them onto my computer? A. Bryce... Open uTorrent (the program), right click the 100% downloaded file (any movie or else). From the new window select "Open containing folder...", the program will take you to your downloads folder for it. Once there you can copy and paste the file you want wherever you want. Do not open/play the file here because most likely it's been seeded at the moment, to be able to open it here you have to "Stop" it in the main window of uTorrent. Hope it helps!!

How do you play completed torrents on Utorrent?
Q. This is my first time using torrents. I downloaded a movie on Utorrent and it finished downloading. How do I play it?
Asked by Mira A - Mon Sep 10 18:21:13 2007 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments
A. It should usually just be where you said you would save the torrent, but after it's finished downloading, right click the file and click " Open containing folder." From there a folder should pop up with your movie file inside and you can click the file and play it. P.S. Don't forget to seed your torrents when you are done. It helps others out ^^

A. It should usually just be where you said you would save the torrent, but after it's finished downloading, right click the file and click " Open containing folder." From there a folder should pop up with your movie file inside and you can click the file and play it. P.S. Don't forget to seed your torrents when you are done. It helps others out ^^
