Any ideas on how I can find information on timeshare presentations?
Q. I would like to attend a timeshare presentation, of course for the trip incentive. Are there any specific sites where I could find information on presentations near my home?

timeshare presentations???
Q. for instance, they said there was a 90 minute presentation and they would give me two round trip tickets to either san deigo or las vegas and hotel for coming... is this normal or is there a catch i should be aware of???

A. Lots of places offer things like that - my husband has dragged me to more of them than I can remember. Usually, they don't actually give you the tickets - they give you vouchers for tickets. Then, when you try to redeem your vouchers, you find out that they are only good Monday through Thursday, or that they exclude weekend and holiday travel, or that you can only use a specific airline, or that you get the very worst room/seat and they don't allow upgrades (or if they do, it's at a price), or you have to use them within 30 days, etc. So make sure you know about all the restrictions before you commit. Then you will have a better idea of whether or not 90 minutes of your time and attention is going to be worth it. Personally, I have… [cont.]

Does anybody know about those cheap trips where you have to listen to those timeshare presentations?
Q. Does anyone know about those vacations that are really cheap or free because the resort is trying to get you to buy a timeshare. I have heard they give you a really nice trip and all you have to do is listen to some presentation about buying a timeshare. Does anyone know how I can sign up for one of these trips?
Asked by candigal - Mon Mar 12 23:30:55 2007 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Your best bet is to avoid them altogether...Some of them have some good deals, but you must remember...Keep saying NO...Take the free stuff and go home...don't let them talk you into anything, if you want to buy a time share or anything they are offering, you can do it another time.Watch out for hidden fees for the trip, hotel surcharges etc. airline surcharges etc. I did 4 nights in Branson in a luxyry condo on the lake and all it cost me was a forty five minute presentation on the timeshare, I got tickets to a show and $50 in gas vouchers and didn't buy a thing. Had a wonderful weekend with my wife in Branson. I keep getting offers from them, but I just throw them in the garbage unopened...Nuf Said

Are they still giving gifts to go to timeshare presentations in Cabo San Lucas?
Q. I know in the past I used to go to one every year to get the free goodies (about $300 value). Do they still offer them around town or at the airport? What is the going rate for gifts?
Asked by R J - Fri Apr 24 04:30:42 2009 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Hola. It depends on the resort right now. You don't see as many offers unless they are convinced you are a buyer and not a freeloader. (Sorry...freeloader is a strong word but until you've actually worked the other end of it, you get a real appreciation of how much the jjob sucks!) Right now, time share is suffering down here just like any other industry. You're best bet is to wait until tourist season next (winter. This is more than likely when they will up the ante and offer those great gifts to sit through a boring timeshare presentation. Hey, I just talked to someone today that had $300 taken off their car rental bill to attend the Pueblo Bonito time share presentation, so I guess you can still get a deal.

What 'really' happens at a timeshare presentation?
Q. I went to Hawaii recently. Some guys at a ticket booth tried to get us to go to one of those timeshare presentation things (just an hour of your time...) by offering us a heap of free tickets to stuff. We declined as I am not interested in that kind of thing. Just curious though...has anyone ever attended one of these 'presentations'? What kind of hard-sell tactics do they pull?
Asked by hurricane197 - Fri Oct 23 06:15:26 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The announcement makes it look as though you will get something valuable for nothing. But that is not true. You will have to earn it by sitting through a long sales pitch, often of more than two hours, and frequently using high pressure tactics. For that, you will earn the cheapest of the "gifts" listed.

A. problem is this ... you usually have to live 50 miles away from the site. so if you live in clark county, for example, cannot go. they really do not give cash. but weekends at a hotel. some show tickets, maybe a dinner. so do not think this will work for you

Q. I paid for a trip to Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf course. It was very cheap, the only catch is that I have to attend a timeshare presentation. I am not going to buy a timeshare but are these people aggressive? And has anyone taken any good trips by doing this?

A. It will be a high pressure sales presentation that will start very soft and courteous and will wrap you around like a snake. After a couple of hours you will know what i m talking about. NEVER give signs of interest or they will pressure you even more. Make sure you ask the Lent of the presentation and when you are half way tell them that you have something to do right after the time is done or they will try to make you stay even longer than what they say.

Q. Any free activities or interesting places to visit other than theme parks in Orlando
Asked by Gizmo1954 - Sat Feb 25 01:28:45 2006 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments

A. You can get coupon books to various attractions and restaurants in almost every store here, just wander into a grocery store, Walmart, or Perkins restaurant and you'll find a stack of coupon books in the lobby. As for interesting sites, I recommend Titanic: The Experience, Arabian Nights or Medieval Times, Downtown Disney, and Old Town. Also, a great day or night out would be to visit the Beach CLub, Yacht Club, and/or Boardwalk at Disney, all three are connected around a lagoon and it's a nice walk (or you can rent bikes/surreys) with restaurants and shops and such.

Q. I just went on one, and found it completely amusing and ridiculous how they try to trick you, and pressure you, and all their techniques to try and sell you. Get a life!!

A. We went to a timeshare presentation during a trip to Maui. We were told that we would have to sit through a 90 minute presentation and that we would get heavily discounted travel vouchers for a snorkeling trip and luau at the end. The presentation wasn't too bad because we were able to see some really cool oceanfront properties... and we were able to walk away 90 minutes later with cheap activities. It was worth it for us...although I don't think we'll ever do that again.

Anyone want to go on a timeshare presentation?
Q. If anyone out there is interested in attending a 90 min. presentation to receive a free prize - I can help. Some of the loactions are giving away all inclusives to Mexico right now (everything including meals.drinks airfare etc.) We have nation wide loactions -- let me know.
Asked by maryannatvc - Mon Jun 30 00:01:07 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Who are you trying to kid? You are not asking if anyone wants to attend a 90 minute presentation to receive a prize. You are asking if there is anyone out there so gullible as to fall for that line so you can badger and cajole into making a purchase that will forever haunt them. No one, absolutely no one has ever been invited to one of these presentations because the presenters have so much to give away that they simply take the first no for an answer and I am quite sure you are no exception given your aggressive salesmanship in this forum. Be honest, say you want some people to come to a presentation so you can sell them a pipe dream of fairyland vacations while you make an exorbitant commission on a property that they can buy on Ebay… [cont.]

Disney Timeshare Time share Presentation?
Q. I am taking my family to Walt Disney World this summer and was wondering: *How do you go see the Timeshare presentation for free Disney tickets? * If 2 children (12, and 13 years old) and 2 adults go to the presentation, will each person get a Ticket? * Can you share your Disney timeshare presentation experience? I am still interested in doing it this summer, but how? THANKS!
Asked by Bailey - Mon Mar 31 10:09:54 2008 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Time share presentations are a waste of time. Most have heavy restrictions (must use the ticket that same day, etc.) and are just not worth the effort.
