Average cost........?
Q. I suppose this makes me naive, but I always assumed as long as the family was a nice, respectful, and had well income that adoption was free... however I recently found out it cost a large sum of money. What's the average price of an adoption? Also... I don't see why adoption costs money, they probably limits the amount of people that can help get children into suitable homes.. I understand that the family should have a certain amount of income so the adoption agencies can make sure they will provide for the child... but still... I don't agree with it costing so much.

Q. We recently adopted a cat and want to bring her to the vet for a "wellness" visit that we want to do annually. I'm not familiar with the average cost of check-ups at the vet so I'd just like to know what to expect. A. Many practices will roll the price of the exam into the cost of vaccinations. So if your cat is getting vaccinations, you may not have any other expense, i.e., the infectious disease vaccination is $25 and rabies $15, you wouldn't have an additional price for an exam. Many vets will do a fecal with a basic exam, that will usually be $15-30. However, it depends on what you want done. If you would like baseline bloodwork done, then that can be $40-80 or more, if you need treatment for fleas, worms or ear mites, that will also be more. Depends a great deal on where you are, of course urban areas are more expensive.

What is the average cost of spaying a cat in Washington, DC?
Q. We will be staying for a few years in DC for business purposes. At htat time our two-year-old female cat will be accompanying to us. She is not spayed. But we are planning to do that. Other nickel plating can vary in price and just to tell you, that the plating won't affect the sound that much if anything. You have to make sure that it has no leaks and that it doesn't need an overhaul. If it does need an overhaul, it can run you as high as $500. Good Luck

A. A one year old birthday party can have a big range. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you want to make it. Often times, it is a time for all the adults to get together and see the baby. We had a big birthday party at our house but kept the cost low. We invited everyone over for a BBQ. We had a little section in the middle where we sang happy birthday and he got to mess with his cake. We took lots of pictures of that part. He took a nap after that and we relaxed with our friends. I figure between the food, gift, cake, and simple decorations, we spend close to 200 dollars. We bought him a toddler swing for his present.

A. A one year old birthday party can have a big range. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you want to make it. Often times, it is a time for all the adults to get together and see the baby. We had a big birthday party at our house but kept the cost low. We invited everyone over for a BBQ. We had a little section in the middle where we sang happy birthday and he got to mess with his cake. We took lots of pictures of that part. He took a nap after that and we relaxed with our friends. I figure between the food, gift, cake, and simple decorations, we spend close to 200 dollars. We bought him a toddler swing for his present.

A. It depends on if your Hotwater is Gas, do you cook with GAS, do you have Gas heat. you see it is impossible to guess because there are to many factors. It would be a quess. It would be under $50. a month.
